The Prelude:
The Honor 6 hails from the smartphone lineup of the parent brand Huawei. Although Huawei is relatively new in the bustling arena of smartphones, it has created a stir in the market with some good phones loaded with great features. Honor 6 is one such phone which comes with great features but a nominal price. The international gurus have called it to be a budget phone. The price of Huawei Honor 6 in Pakistan is PKR 42,500. But that’s only for the price, as the features are almost as good as high-end priced phones. Honor 6 is touted as "the world’s fastest smartphone" by Huawei. It is a tall claim to make but let’s wait and watch. Till then we can dig into to the features of Honor 6 and welcome it to our brutal arena of smartphones.
Design and Display:
Honor 6 comes with a 5 inch screen which supports multi touch for up to 5 fingers. The display is good with 1080*1920 pixels. It is an IPS LCD capacitive screen in 16M colors. It weighs 130 g and the dimensions are 139.8*68.8*6.5 mm. The gadget comes in two colors, namely, black and white.
Performance:
The phone is packed with Octa core processor and runs on OS android 4.4.2 (KitKat), ensuring a good speed and performance. It has HiSilicon Kirin 920 chipset for added efficiency in performance. Its CPU is quad core 1.7GHZ cortex A 15 with an alternative version of quad core 1.3 GHZ cortex A7.
Connectivity and Memory:
It supports USB, WLAN, GPRS, EDGE and blue tooth. Boasting of a good memory storage, it comes in both 16/32GB inbuilt memory and a 3GB RAM. The memory is expandable and can be increased through micro SD card for up to 64GB. It uses HTML 5 for browsing purposes.
Battery:
It has a non-removable battery Li-Po 3100 mAh battery that is enough for extended performance.
Camera:
It has a 13MP (4128*3096 pixels) back and a 5MP front camera. There is also the feature of dual-LED flash light and auto focus. It supports geo tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR. The camera is quite good for the price that it has to offer. A 5MP front camera is ideal for taking selfies, groupies and also for having a video call for personal or professional matters.
Positives of Honor 6
- The price of Huawei 6 is quite reasonable as compared to the multiple features it offers.

Negatives of Honor 6
- The design resembles Sony Xperia Z. There is no novelty or uniqueness when you look at this phone.
- The CAT 6 LTE is yet not available and can be considered a drawback.
Verdict:
It’s not very cheaply priced in Pakistan. Only in comparison to its features that are exquisitely high-end we call it as a reasonable phone. If you have a budget restraint, yet needing more features in your phone to carry out day to day routine tasks, Honor 6 is a reasonable choice for you. The major highlight is the reasonable price as compared to the high-end features it is bursting with. There have been issues with its battery life and slow charging but other than that it is a great package and offers almost everything that an expensive smart phone has to offer. So if looks are not as important for you, you can definitely buy Huawei Honor 6 and enjoy it.
