Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 Specs and Price
Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 Review
With the dual sim phones gaining a considerable share of the market, Samsung seem to over obsessed with this feature. Like every other smartphone having a Duos twin, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos is a glaring proof of that. Sometimes it becomes quite difficult to analyze the difference between whether Samsung is designing phones for predetermined consumers of is it just a matter of making gadgets as a substitute to almost everything that is out there. However, investigating the specification of this phone, comparing with some of the market rivals and the trends in the market, this phone is neither that lavishly decorated to impress not shredded down to look like a low-end phone; a mid-range phone with modest features.
Still, there is one thing about this phone that attracts a lot; its smooth velvety body. Its slim and wide body gives a handful of an experience giving convenient maneuverability though fingers without straining the palm. Then with a 4-inch TFT touchscreen on the front and smooth edged body curves make this phone look like its other beefed up siblings like the SII and SIII, which is of course causes a loss of identity to this phone.
Coming to the features, what hurts is its screen resolution compared to its screen size, being limited to 480 x 800 pixels on a glossy 4-inch TFT. Maybe this is to keep its price low compared to other smartphones. This means that you cannot expect any exemplary HD video experience on it. Then, the internal storage is limited to 4GB while it would have gained more popularity if it were to be 8GB or higher. 1GHz processor running an Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with 512MB of RAM is a good combination. People can expect snappy performance because the choice of hardware and software is quite intelligent.
Communication is what matters the most and with Samsung Galaxy S Duos in your hand, you can expect a lot of goodies from it. Setting dual sim feature apart, the sound quality and signal reception is very reliable. In addition, 2G and 3G both are quite reliable modes of data transmission. The availability of Wi-Fi and hotspots is also a good move.
Where camera quality is on the brighter side of the phone, the battery timing is the other way around. Though, the camera is 5MP but coupled with autofocus and LED Flash, it does make a difference for those expecting quality images. Video recording experience is a bit fuzzy but still the quality is quite acceptable. The biggest downfall of this phone is its battery life. It depletes before you were expecting it. Samsung really needs to work on this.
Overall, analyzing the connectivity, the socialization features, the multimedia aspects, this phone is made to keep you connected and socializing, within a budget. For the price tag it bears with it, it is good bargain, but Samsung needs to do something when it comes to designing a smartphone.
